NFL Thread: Thoughts on the game south of the 49th

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Yes, resulting in cardiac arrest one would assume.

They sent the teams to their locker rooms and an hour later cancelled the game.

Damar Hamlin runs a toys-for-kids fundraiser.

He set the goal at $2500... well money started pouring in after the incident, now approaching $1M.

This incident has folks talking about Chuck Hughes... the only player ever to die during an NFL game.

8:17 mark

Of course in 1971 you play out the rest of the game after they remove the corpse from the field.

Unlike most super bowls it was a good game. Officiating was poor, but affected both sides.

I’m not an Eagles fan and that was bullshit.

Lousy officiating throughout on both sides, but 35 up with 2 min to go and you call the softest holding penalty of all time to immediately give KC the game…..money exchanged hands somewhere.

The guy admitted to the hold, saying “I hoped they wouldn’t call it.”

The Chiefs still would have kicked the field goal. The only thing we were deprived of was a chance for the Eagles to drive the other way to tie, but KC were the better team after the break and it ended up a 3-pt victory in their favour. Rigged? Nah.

It was no worse than the non catch non fumble call. If the sideline bauble was a catch, then the non catch and no fumble was a catch and fumble.

These things evened themselves out.
