Muzac For Munsters

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

And from the dusty, manure laden auction barns of the 1950s deep south, the sound somehow traveled north into the ghettos of the inner city and , the rest is history :D

And it goes even further back than that.....

Vikings invented the rap battle :mex:

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Wow it's all there. The boasting. The shit talk.

Rap must have made it's way down the Atlantic coast from the Viking settlements to the Virginia colony and spread out from there,

It's older than I had imagined. Much older

Yeah. I'm pretty sure that's how they learned to play the bagpipes.

Absolutely. Mainly from the British Isles and the Slavic countries.
That’s where the word slave comes from. ”do you have any Slavs to sell?”
In Swedish the basic word for slave and Slav is still the same, albeit we use different plural forms for the two concepts.

You can also see it in the Icelandic DNA.
Y chromosomes, that are inherited from father to son, are more than 90% of Norwegian origin.
Mitrochondrial dna, which is inherited on the maternal side, is almost half Celtic, and a smaller portion of Icelanders carry mitrochondrial dna that is of Native American origin, which not only confirms that the vikings did discover America, but also that they brought home souvenirs...
