Muzac For Munsters

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

My Mom played Johnny Horton a lot and My Dad was part time in a band that played Glen Miller.

There was one season that whoever was in charge for the music at Björklöven home games used to play this song when the opponents took the ice....

... and then played this song when the Björklöven players came on:

They also used to play this when an opponent got a minor or major:

It's from a children's TV show. When the main character, Emil, has messsed up and gotten his father angry, he runs and hides in the wood shed, which he can lock from within. The lyrics are basically. "Dear wood shed, here I come again. I'm in a hurry, better believe it, cuz I messed up again. To the wood shed I run when I've done something wrong, dad is also a good runner, but not as fast..."

Always good to humiliate your opponents!

For a game penalty they would play a different tune though:

Whatever you do, always give 100 %!

Agreed, actually one of the better hockey songs. Most are just pathetic.

The Finns have made one that is hilarious though.... it’s not really a song, I guess, but the Finnish commentator completely lost it when they won the 2011 world championship, and someone sampled his comments and made this crazy mix out of it:

Ihanaa means wonderful/awesome/excellent and leijonat means the lions, ie the nickname for the Finnish team.

And, yeah, they haven’t won a lot of titles, so..... I guess he does get a bit excited!
