The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.
If you like Nordic Noir, Netflix has a great Finnish series called Bordertown. It's pretty dark, but I like it.
I think you get that in Canada too, right?

Trapped is an Icelandic series that was decent. Katla as well.
They make excellent stuff out there in the middle of the ocean
Another decent out in the middle of the ocean series - The Shetlands. Just waiting for a series made on the Faroe Islands to make it a trifecta!
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
Donny - I think it was you who suggested to read the series from Conn Iggulden, I have done the Emperor and Conqueror series and just finished The Gates of Athens. Amazing how any author can take a character and make them a certain way. He made Genghis Khan seem like a wonderful son, great big brother and just a person who wanted to spread cheer and happiness.

Hell ya! Loved Shetland
I want to retire in Torshavn on the Faroe Islands, disappear like Bobby Fisher.

Listen?
Moi?
To whom?
Have we met?
...as far as the books go contrary to yourself I took a positive review from Reefs post.
I'm on Book 14 Wheel of Time now (which is the last in the series) and there is now a Prequel which I will read next.
(I'm also reading A Promised Land at the same time).
Next up on the fiction side will be the Iggulden series rats.
I'll reach out for an order you'd suggest at that time.
