TV Shows: What are you watching?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Yeah, the book was awesome, it really took you there.

It had me believing the author's true-story claim.

I was so disappointed when I found out this "autobiography" was complete bollocks.

Made me completely lose faith in convicts.

To me Platoon is a better movie. So is Papillion, The Great Escape and Blackhawk Down.
Platoon
The Great Escape
Papillion

Blackhawk Down

Apocalypse Now

Thoughts Reefer..,. Anyone?
Bridge Too far
Devils Brigade
Papillion - book was really good as well
Patton
Saving Private Ryan was an amazing movie

Dunkirk was the last war movie I watched

I swear that's the same trench they used in Journey's End (which was decent for a low-budget film).

If you haven’t watched it yet, make sure to do.

Just got a Golden Globe for best mini-series and for best supporting actor.

I just got around to watching Ken Burns' Civil War documentary (it's only been out 30 years  ). It's very good. It's shocking what transpired down there only 160 years ago. I was hoping it covered how they went about repairing the nation, but it doesn't really get into that. I would think that even today there could easily be strongly-rooted resentment and discontent. Nebraska didn't really play a role, but do you have any insight on this, Corn?
