I’m watching Apocalypse Now. It’s always been a C+ movie for me. I think it’s pretty good but highly overrated.
To me Platoon is a better movie. So is Papillion, The Great Escape and Blackhawk Down.
Platoon
The Great Escape
Papillion
Blackhawk Down
Apocalypse Now
Thoughts Reefer..,. Anyone?
Bridge Too far
Devils Brigade
Papillion - book was really good as well
Patton
Saving Private Ryan was an amazing movie
Dunkirk was the last war movie I watched
Fuck off
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I just got around to watching Ken Burns' Civil War documentary (it's only been out 30 years ). It's very good. It's shocking what transpired down there only 160 years ago. I was hoping it covered how they went about repairing the nation, but it doesn't really get into that. I would think that even today there could easily be strongly-rooted resentment and discontent. Nebraska didn't really play a role, but do you have any insight on this, Corn?
