TV Shows: What are you watching?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

What’s with the ‘Doods’ here and their leanings towards masculine Viking type shows?

“You like movies about Gladiators, Joey?”

Doyle once PM’ed me admitting he had a Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan poster in his bedroom during his developing highschool years.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

I watched a Netflix doc last night about some Vancouver based Bitcoin shazaamer a few years back where the guy died and people lost millions. Quite the show

I wonder if our old friend Griz was one of the shazaamed? I recall he was on here telling us about how money can be made as it was ramping up.

Shorsey is the kind of thing you watch when you want completely over the top inanity.....of the "brilliant" sort. :P

Just finished season 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. Pretty good I thought.

Enjoyed the Sex Pistols docudrama on Disney+. Not being an ardent fan probably helped.

Now watching Atlanta with Donald Glover..

Nah, I was looking for clavicles :) Chrissie Hynde stole the show there.

As a long time fan, I watched it and thought it was 'ok'. Two main points for me was them making Johnny out to be a complete cunt, which he could be - but he also seemed to have a great sense of humour. The guy playing Malcom did a great job - but looked much too young, a tough trade off.

The book was fun, the series was a mix of truth and 'hollywood'. Overall, I think it did a decent job of re-creating what was happening back in the day.

Obi-wan is good so far - Boba Fett was a little too slow, but still a decent watch. The Mandalorian was a fun ride.

Tried the new 'Ms Marvel' series - it's the first Marvel project I couldn't watch - seems totally geared towards kids.
