Is there a god?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

There might be a god, and I'm leaning that way as I get closer to death.

Chapter and verse please.
The bible doesen’t explicitly say how old the earth is. The 6000 years often quoted is an estimate based on its genealogical records stretching all the way back to Adam.
True, but most Christians say the 6 "days" of creation were actually "ages".

Sure Tciso says it was actually 6 days, but, well, that's Tciso for ya...

The Nobel Prize in medicine goes to Svante Pääbo for his groundbreaking work in paleogenomics!
I approve of this message. I’m truly fascinated by the new insights we get from combining archeology and DNA research.

I guess Svante Pääbo is as close to a god as it get’s imho.

I love how amazing scientific discoveries made by the likes of Svante Paabo doesn’t ever register with the religious folk like “see no monkey hear no monkey”.

You believe still, even though Paabo regarding human evolution cracked the genetic code of one of our extinct relatives - the Neanderthal?

“Further comparisons between Neanderthal DNA and humans from around the world showed their DNA was a closer match to humans coming from Europe or Asia.

This tells us that Homo sapiens had sex and children with Neanderthals after migrating out of Africa around 70,000 years ago.”
