Movie Thread

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Yes, all of them after the original 3 (Episodes 4, 5, 6)

Lucas' Episodes 1, 2, 3... absolutely disappointing garbage after fans waited so long.

I didn't watch any of the woke, Disney-fied crap even though they brought back the original characters. What they did to Mark Hamill and Luke Skywalker was an absolute crime.

Fuck Hollywood.

Carl Yagro wrote: Sun Sep 12, 2021 12:05 pm Yeah, they made the sequels so confusing, convoluted and hard to follow. The original was a perfect standalone and they should have left it as is.

Instead, Neo wasn't actually "The One" but the 6th iteration. Basically, the machines were a Windows network that needed a Ctrl+Alt+Delete every so often.

The whole Zion thing was badly thought out. Why the hell did they float around in a ship in the first movie when they could have just gone home to their families in the city? Then the stupid Neo as Jesus moment at the end.

These sequels pissed me off as much as the Star Wars sequels did :scowl:

Yagro is all anti-red pill.

He feels that their freedom of choice puts him and his fellow blue-pillers at greater risk of retribution from the matrix and agent smith.

Wheres the science CY. Whatcha got?

It has been dissected to death by the movie nerds.

The whole non-matrix was a sham. Even outside of the matrix was created by the machines to allow humans to "escape", thus creating a continuing cycle of "The One", the Architect, Smith etc. so the matrix can reboot/reset/rebuild when programs bog down the system... exactly like your current computers.

There is no red pill or blue pill. The system gives you the illusion of choice when there isn't any. You are just cogs of the machine to be enslaved, used and recycled, Cuz.

This is a metaphor for "real" life.

No doubt the machines vaccinated the humans with nano-chips before their "escape" from the matrix.

Matrix - one movie

Start Wars - should have worn cowboy outfits and stopped at one movie
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
