Well okay then.
You could definitely include the Paulicians but they seem to have been erased by an Armenian Church inquisition in the latter 19th century. Which is a damned shame because they were the last of the Gnostic Christians.

The human race is oddly nostalgic for people of the past. They keep us backwards. I’m quite disgusted that are large portion of society is guided by books written by humans thousands of years ago, let’s move the fuck on ffs. Monuments quite frankly disgust me. Every time I see Mount Rushmore, dynamite and long wick come to mind. We need to stop fucking up nature with shit like that. I prefer monuments that are neither political nor religious.

If I had to pick or choose. Like for instance the Bronze statue of Harry Jerome is acceptable. But anything representative of religion of any sort should be destroyed!Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 1:24 pmChef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 10:07 am The human race is oddly nostalgic for people of the past. Re: UFO’s and Dinosaurs vs the Bible
I don't know much about the faith of the Christian Gnostics Mëds, except that they were dualists ie. they believed in a bad god of this world and a good god of the afterlife. Not much remains of their literature due to frequent inquisitions and book burnings over the centuries. They were the forerunners of the Western European Cathars and Balkan Bogomils and possibly the Church of Bosnia if you're more familiar with any of them.Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 7:14 amWhich, if I understand what they believe, are essentially a walking contradiction in terms.....Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 10:21 pmNot all Christian sects are iconoclasts though. You could definitely include the Paulicians but they seem to have been erased by an Armenian Church inquisition in the latter 19th century. Which is a damned shame because they were the last of the Gnostic Christians.
Here is a scholarly article on their last days in Armenia:
https://www.jstor.org/stable/pdf/3153904.pdf
Here is a copy of The Key Of Truth, a latter day manual of the Paulicians:
https://archive.org/details/keyoftruthm ... 6/mode/2up
Unlike the Cathars who were slaughtered in France, the Paulicians had a pretty badass army in their heyday

The Bosnians eventually converted to Islam under Ottoman influence rather than taking the seemingly never ending persecutions from both Rome and Constantinople.
They left behind some really interesting cemetery headstones, if not much else:
