Did you catch Dr Henry yesterday? She said homemade masks are the least effective means of prevention and should only be used if you are symptomatic, caring for someone who is symptomatic, or for very brief times when social distancing or engineering can not be utilized. A couple of days ago she was adamant that she would not be requiring masks.

I think the biggest issue is their misuse.

Canada should send teams from Ontario, BC, Quebec, and maybe a Alberta/Sask/Manitoba Prairie team for the World Cup or whatever the next best on best tournament would be. Give the other teams a chance.

Even though Canada tends to be the favourite in most tournaments, and quite often win, the record does show that we do have a chance.















We actually lost this one, after playing five full periods and hitting the post with less than two minutes remaining of the fifth, but it’s perhaps the best international ever played.

And here is some very rare footage: Sep 17th 1972, an all amateur Swedish team takes on the best paid professional players from Canada in a preparation game ahead of the Summit Series and manage to get a draw, 4-4, despite taking a lot of injuries.
Basically the Swedes were better skaters, but the Canadians were more physical.

Roughly half of the players later ended up in the NHL and/or WHA, so I guess the Canadians were impressed.
