Just Not ready

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

At least 4 of them actually manage to almost answer a question. Trudeau never does.

Six years in power, no record to defend and still blaming his predecessor.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Ha! I cant believe hes still whining about Harper. He really comes across like the petulant, trust fund baby that he is. How the fuck is he our leader

OToole doesnt come across like the strong leader type that is needed to swing fence sitting voters. He got caught off guard on every question it seemed

Jagmeat Singh seems genuine but i doubt his party is anywhere near capable of running the country. It all sounds like fantasy not reality when he makes proclamations

The only intelligent debater i heard last night was the greenie leader but theyre not even a party, more of movement.

It looks like 4 more years of Mr Dressup

I don't mind him and yeah seems genuine, but he seems like such a newb. Bound to make a ton of rookie mistakes.

Anyways it's all Conservative out here in the Valley so mine would just be a protest vote regardless.

Vote-splitting a growing problem for Trudeau, O'Toole in close race:
With the leadership debates now in the rear-view mirror and polls showing a close race between the Liberals and Conservatives, the issue of vote-splitting is becoming increasingly significant ahead of the Sept. 20 federal election, according to pollster Nik Nanos.

“If you’re [Conservative Leader] Erin O’Toole and play fantasy politics, you'd say ‘what would the world look like without Maxime Bernier?’” Nanos said on Friday’s edition of CTV’s Trend Line podcast. “On the other side of that we've got the NDP. I imagine there's quite a few ridings where Justin Trudeau might be sweating, considering NDP support.”

While it’s too early to know exactly how Thursday’s English-language debate will affect voter preferences, polling data continues to show a statistical tie among the two leading parties.

According to Nanos Research’s nightly tracking conducted for CTV News and the Globe and Mail, released on Friday morning, the Conservatives hold 33.3 per cent support, while the Liberals are at 31.1 per cent. At 2.2 percentage points, the Conservative lead is within the survey’s margin of error of ± 2.8 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

via fair vote canada:
Canada is about to elect its fifth minority government since 2004.

Voters have once again rejected two-party politics.

Now, it's time for an electoral system that incentivises these governments to last longer than 2 years at a time.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.
