Conspiracy Theory

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Can’t push a rope and shit flows downhill = all a geologist need know.

One might say geologists are superficial.

Physicists are deeper.

Most physicists deal mainly in theories though.

Prevailing theories on gravity lead to the logical conclusion that gravity = zero at the core.

The push/pull attraction/repulsion debate is nothing more than navel-gazing.

(physicists do a lot of navel-gazing)

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

They underestimate us.

At least they did..........kids these days...........don't drink.........spend their evenings onlining instead of mainlining.

I do know that when ever I've chipped a bag of ice from a glacier for the evenings festivities, things end up very odd.

How Crazy am I to think I know where MH370 is?

Very interesting but LONG article:
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/20 ... heory.html

Using the BTO data set alone,I was able to chart the plane’s speed and general path, which happened to fall along national borders.Fig. 21 Flying along borders, a military navigator told me, is a good way to avoid being spotted on radar. A Russian intelligence plane nearly collided with a Swedish airliner while doing it over the Baltic Sea in December.

I realized that I already had a clue that hijackers had been in the E/E bay. Remember the satcom system disconnected and then rebooted three minutes after the plane left military radar behind. I spent a great deal of time trying to figure out how a person could physically turn the satcom off and on. The only way, apart from turning off half the entire electrical system, would be to go into the E/E bay and pull three particular circuit breakers. It is a maneuver that only a sophisticated operator would know how to execute, and the only reason I could think for wanting to do this was so that Inmarsat would find the records and misinterpret them. They turned on the satcom in order to provide a false trail of bread crumbs leading away from the plane’s true route.
Not sure if anyone here wants to read all that.

Nice diagrams/pictures though.

Global warming? Who cares?

Yes, the earth has gone through epic cycles of heating and cooling. Yes, humans are putting tons of carbon into the air and not helping things out at all. Is weather changing? Sure seems to be.

Computer models - like Doc says (indirectly) they can be tweaked to prove any side of the argument you like.

In the end, it's just another 'issue' to divide the masses, and that is the only conspiracy that matters. Let's all talk about abstract concepts and ideas that will have ramifications 50 to 100 years down the road. As long as our elected officials can still preach to their choirs and get re-elected, that's really all that matters, right? I don't live in Miami - so fuck it.

Those on the left can point to global warming and push for green energy. Those on the right can deny it and comfort their fawning public that god will take care of them. No need to worry - look! It's snowing!!

In the meantime, the debates gets centered around topics that most people can't and won't and don't want to understand. This enables everyone to form their opinions and post Facebook photos that mock the other side. Yay! Democracy! The gay marriage debate is almost over, so we need something to argue about and abortion is getting old. Women's rights? Only 1/2 of the population cares about that issue. Maybe we should be talking about the 1% and their anal raping of the middle class? No - that's socialism!! Let the free market sort it out, capitalism works! Trickle down economics works - if you're a yacht salesman.

What is the real conspiracy? What is the one issue that people should be seriously talking about? How about the illusion of democracy? The illusion that our elected officials give one small shit about the people they 'represent'. American politics is awesome. You can have congress at a 10% approval rating and also have 90% incumbent re-election rate.

(the more I'm typing the more my hatred for humans grows) (Oh and fuck the Chinese and their lust for ivory)

Yesterday I saw a post on Facebook - someone linked to an article about (blah blah blah - it doesn't matter) something about how people are getting fucked by the government and corporations - with the added comment of 'Wake up America' - wow - powerful stuff there! Nothing creates action like a post on Facebook (or a goddamned hockey board).

I've decided that I can only act against one conspiracy these days. I'm doing my best not put corporate poison into my body. It's personal and means more to me than global warming or gay marriage. If corporations want to save money by adding an obscene amount of chemicals into their products, then I can choose not to buy them.

Global warming? Fuck that shit - it's a snow day in Nebraska, I slipped on the ice and I'm running out of coffee (another conspiracy??) - plus Saturday afternoons are as good as time to any to rant about nonsense.

PS:

The earth is getting warmer.
Gays should be able to marry.
Abortion is an individual choice for the woman.
We don't know the full story about 9/11.
Corporations are not people.
Bin Laden died of kidney failure.
Yes, humans landed on the moon.
Religion is myth.
Aliens haven't been here yet. (Although I'm not sure about Donald Trump).
Ghosts don't exist.
Elections don't matter.
Tiger penises have no medical benefit.
