Conspiracy Theory

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Your graphic would be better if it had a more realistic time frame and included points like the Permian extinction, and the Tr-J and K-T boundaries. Even go back to the Silurian. At the very least, go back to the beginning of the Pleistocene.

Life and earth will carry merrily along even if our insignificant species does not.

I read an article this morning about using wind turbines to supplement power generation at remote mining sites. Hey Cariboo placer mines used water wheel lifts and pumps for their underground placer operations.

We are a GREEN industry.

That is very cool, especially when they talk of a magnetic polar shift to equatorial magnetic poles (my compass points east).

LOL they're still guessing about what lies at the centre.

Fun Fact: According to prevailing theories of gravity there is virtually zero gravity at the Earth's core.

Scout's honour!

Hope this helps...

Like wind in the eye of a hurricane.

At the very centre of the earth, what dense body would a second body be attracted too?

Would gravity be zero or infinite?

Well there's that.

And then there's the prevailing theory that gravity "pulls".

At the centre of any/every planet/moon etc, the surrounding pull in all directions

... results in zero gravity at the centre.

I'm trying to remember, with one foot out the door.

I think any gasses formed deeper than one third into say a liquid sphere

... would migrate towards the centre, rather than the surface.

I'll try to dig some of this up later.

I don't think physicists work close enough with geologists.

And vice versa...
