I figured I'd keep this idea of mine on the T&R board since......
1) This isn't a real trade scenario
2) This will never happen
3) This is pure fantasy and a "think out loud" puff dream on my part.
4) I don't feel like living in the realms of reality for the purpose of this post.

Here is my line of (fantasy) thought however:
With Getzlaf and Perry, the Canucks get younger, bigger, and stronger. The Ducks on the other hand, get two guys that have recently won the Art Ross trophy.
The Canucks then trade Kesler for Weber, and also package Schneider and Edler for Rick Nash.
If cap space permits, we then sign Patrick Marleau.
End result? We have 5 players that were on the 2010 Team Canada Olympic team.
Nash-Getzlaf-Perry
Higgins-Marleau-Booth
Weber-Hamhuis
Luongo
Lack
-A formiddable top 6
-A bottom 6 that can shut down
-An elite shut down pairing
-A goalie that is good enough to win a cup.
