Anyone following the 2011 World Junior A Challenge in Langley?
Seems like the future of Swedish goaltending continues to look bright!
Two games, two different goalies, two shutouts!
First Sweden beat the US 1-0 despite the US outshooting us 44-24...
Oscar Dansk, in the crease had a phenomenal game. He's from from Brynäs - the team that brought you Holmqvist, Markström, Lindbäck and Läck... Apparently their goalie coach must be doing something right.
Then they beat Canada West 2-0, despite being outshot 37-30.
This time the goal was tended by Mathias Israelsson of Frölunda, the team that brought you Henrik Lundquist.
This means they've already qualified for the semifinals where they will meet the winner of the Russia vs USA matchup.

Re: World Junior Challenge in Langley
I believe my in-laws are watching that. No, I wish I was watching it a little more, but I've barely had time to post much here (darn that work thing).
And I thought Finland was the new Quebec of goaltender development.
