It would be nice to have an asset or 2 on team Canada. When was the last one? Cody cotton top?

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Pettersson did well to make that lineup. Both should be back next year too.

There is also the goalie we drafted in 2021 Koskenvuo. He is a freshman at Harvard this year playing behind two veterans but he probably has a chance to make the Finland team.

The Harvard goalie Koskenvuo is indeed on the preliminary roster for Finland.

So that's a slim three prospects to follow in this year's tournament.

Fantilli is quite skater. I heard he was good but didn’t expect this good. Hate to say it but Brandt Clarke looks miles better this year. Owen Zellwegger is quite the slick defenceman, the Ducks are definitely stacked on D for the future

Lekkeremaki looks fucking slow. He skates like Tiger Williams out there. Hardly playing against Austria, DePetey if he’s dressed, I haven’t see him.

Lian Bischell looked great out there for the Swiss. Big strong physical D that can move well. He had a nice rush to help set up the winning goal. Another great pick by Jimmy Nill in Dallas a couple spots after the Canucks took slow, tiny Lekkeremaki.

Sweden leading 8-0 after two periods. Lekkerimäki scored the 6th goal, nice shot, but there was nice blocking in front of the goalie too. Austria switched goalies after that goal, btw.

Not much of a test. Austria is the worst team in this tournament. Sweden will be playing this tournament like a video game where each level is harder than the previous. First Austria, then Germany, then the Czechs and then Canada. And then the real fun begins! :)

Game ends 11-0, 51-13 in shots. Very lopsided game.

Petwo assisted on Sweden’s fourth goal. His ice time was 16:42 which is fourth among the Swedish D, and he was a +2.

Lekkerimäki scored the 6th goal and assisted on the 9th. TOI was 11:33,which is 10th among Swedish forwards and he was a +3.
He mainly played on the third line, but special teams disrupt the ice time a bit.

Hard to draw any conclusions based on this game. Sweden sucked big time in their two practice games against the USA and Switzerland, but hopefully they have been able to use that experience to address problem areas and tighten the game. Good things tonight was that they kept the focus throughout and allowed the goalie to post a shutout. Often in a lopsided game like this players stop bothering about doing the little things and then the losing team can get one or a few consolation goals. Not so tonight. And that Sweden had nine different goal scorers. Nice to have scoring from all four lines.
