Re: Beijing 2022 Canadian Roster
He signs his massive 10.9/year contract then hasnt scored a playoff goal since.
Hes a known playoff choker when it matters (but i will concede is a pretty talented guy when the opposition isnt really trying)
I seriously relish pain felt by laughs fans...its not hate

An execration of Marner and everything Leaf related then?
For me, if it's the leaves, it's hate.
Tiger Williams may be the only Leaf related entity I have any semblance of affinity for.

Why are you suddenly comparing Marner to Miller?Vin Tanner wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 11:22 amWhy Marner on first PP unit?Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 10:53 amWhy Marner though? Huberdeau is fine with me. Two best passing wingers in the game.
Do you think Marner shouldn’t be on the team? Put your Leaf hater glasses away. He’s supremely skilled and can P.K. He’s definitely on the squad.
Check out JT Miller’s playoff stats before the bubble. Marner is still a kid and his numbers blow JT’s away in the playoffs.
Marner better be the better player, he pulls in $10.9M.
(Miller makes $5.25M... less than half)
Cuz is right, folks far and wide have labeled Marner a "playoff choker".
(goal scoring pace decreases by 50%, point pace by 25%, giveaways and dumb penalties increase substantially).
None moreso than Leaves fans themselves:

90% of Leafers want him traded yesterday and most say he's overpaid by $2M - $3M per.
But again, why on Earth are you comparing him to some random guy with half the cap-hit?
Comparing him to $750K OJ now.
Lol, you're really out there pal, get your pickled ass into detox immediately...

Better than Doc and Kyle Wellwood.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

You are clearly an idiotMicky wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 2:02 pm Why is there a comparison going on between Mitch Marner and JT Miller?
Marner is clearly a regular season player only. Sweet piss all in the playoffs. Generally means he dies on a stick when it counts. Oh well.
JT Miller, on the other hand lit it up with his Vancouver Canucks in the playoffs with 18 points in 17 games. Superior leader in the room too.

Should I walk it back for you? One thing however, its an Olympic tournament and as far as I know there’s no salary cap limits for the teams.
The comparison to Miller was that some youngish guys struggle early in their careers in post season play. But I’m sure you knew that and just want to pollute the board with another flame war.

Re: Beijing 2022 Canadian Roster
I absolutely want Marner on the team and I think it’s a forgone conclusion he will be there.
I guess Darnell Nurse will get consideration as well. Maybe Kris Letang?

Re: Beijing 2022 Canadian Roster
Honestly from a personal perspective I don't really care who is on the team.
I just want to see high end hockey played by the elite level selections and I want Canada to win.
Ideally I'd like to see a scenario where I can add a tournament to the conversation represented by my affinity for the '87 series.
After it's over, seeing as there are zero Canucks likely to be named to the National roster, they can all lick my bum dust regardless.

Chabot Makar
Chychrun Doughty
Hamilton Ekblad/Reilley
Who would either of those displace? Doughty? Chychrun?
It will have to come down to chemistry in their mini-camp whenever that is

Re: Beijing 2022 Canadian Roster
Barzal and Marner in my opinion are two of the same although I prefer Barzal as he plays with more of an edge while Marner disappears to the perimeter in the post season. I think Barzal is a million underpaid and Marner is $3-$4 million overpaid. $7 to $8 million is what those two should be gettingCousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 2:22 pmHe signs his massive 10.9/year contract then hasnt scored a playoff goal since.

Re: Beijing 2022 Canadian Roster
I'll root for any Canucks participating in the Olympics but that's about it. Never gonna be like 2010. Sure as hell can't imagine myself giving Mitch the bitch any fist pumps. I hope his fat faced line mate opts out for the US. I can see him doing just that.
The Swedes should have an awesome team with Petey unleashing his alien montage of abilities.

Re: Beijing 2022 Canadian Roster
Marner relies on Matthews goal scoring to pump up his assist totals. AM also likes to disappear when the going gets tough, hence wheretofor Marner also sucks when his golden goose struggles. (although in fairness, AM isnt the invisible man that MM becomes every spring)
Barzal is a legit superstar who rises to the occasion
That 15 draft was interesting. How would you like to be Boston...they had all 3 picks taken immediately before Barzal and all they come away with is 3rd line winger who wants out
Fuck you Jeremy Jacobs you decrepit old penis with ears

Sorry Mick....are you able to expand on this comment.
Unsure what you intend to portray here?
Because it was in town you mean?
Or because Luongo was a participant?
