What a talent Trevor Zegras is. The way he plays he looks like an Elias Pettersson clone. Super smart, super skilled, super poised. Probably the best player in the tournament thus far. The Ducks have a gem there. 9th overall pick what a steal!

Byfield isnt any better than that big soderblom kid for sweden. He doesnt appear to have the high end skill to justify a #2OA selection.

Lucas Raymond or Tim Stutzle will be much better players

Looks like he packed on some extra pounds to play in the NHL this year and turned into a slug.

They should just bring in the top 8 teams play 4 - 5 games each and 1st plays 8th in elimination games.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

Best display of his abilities so far. Now if he can duplicate that tomorrow vs Sweden, even better.

Nah, it’s about spreading the gospel. The Austrian and German players who think they are all that get a chance to measure themselves against real hockey nations and learn that they still have a lot to learn. And a handful of them actually do reach the NHL.

Also, they have ten teams now in the top tier, divided into two groups, so each team plays four roundrobin games, then the eight best, four from each group, start playing elimination games, A1 vs B4, B1 vs A4, so it’s not that different from your concept.

I beg to differ. Here’s hoping Costmar has a multi-point game!

Good to see Podkolzin get off the schneid. Hopefully it instills some confidence in the offensive end. Lots to like about the kid. If he can even partially put it together in the O zone, he could be a hell of a player. He can really pass the puck

Ole Byfield packed on some points yesterday, but none of the points were special or highlight reel material. I need to see some dominant game changing play against worthy opponents out of Byfield.
