I thought Miller sucked? At least HF keeps saying that.
So..... Team USA sucks...?

It would be awesome to see a best on best tournament again. Canada has the best forwards by a mile, but the US has a better D and so might Sweden. Finland will also ice a competitive squad and so will the Russians.
Canada
US
Sweden
Finland
Russia
Czech
Slovakia
Who cares?

There's a handful of talented Swiss players as well... Josi, Fiala, Meier, Hischier, Niederreiter... Sbisa... and they always have good goaltending.
They could be good for an upset or two.

Hopefully they make Sbisa captain...

Armstrong named as GM for Team Canada.
Not Neil, not Lance, but Doug.

Miller probably gets moved to #3C at this rate on Team USA, kicking Larkin out.
Boeser, Hughes, yes, Demko is playing his way onto the team now: Hellebuyck, Demko, Gibson trio.

There are some good teams in this. But if Canada doesn’t win with McDavid, Mackinnon, ROR, Crosby, Couturier, Makar etc it will be a major choke job. Goaltending could be our only weakness.

IIHF upping the stakes, gonna buy insurance w/covid coverage for NHL players for the Olympics.
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has acquired insurance for the players of the National Hockey League (NHL). Now athletes will be able to take part in qualifications for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
The IIHF has agreed to pay for insurance immediately for all athletes who have an agreement with the NHL. Moreover, the organization will pay for insurance in case of infection with coronavirus. But this applies only to those hockey players who have signed contracts with clubs for at least two years
However, the NHL and the League Players Association still reserve the right to withdraw from the 2022 Games if doing so creates the potential for health and safety risks.
Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid and Alex Pietrangelo are the first names submitted by Hockey Canada to be part of the men's hockey team for the 2022 Beijing Olympics, according to general manager Doug Armstrong.
