I like the Finnish jerseys in this tournament. May be among the best they've ever had.

This was the stupidest Olympic mens tournament that I can remember.

The women were more fun to watch, my daughters were right into those games as well!

Agreed. It’s a whole different thing when the NHL players are there.

Hockey really needs that all the best players show up at the Olympics.

Sweden has more than 100 players in the NHL.so it’s not just that wr ate missing our A team; we’re also missing our B team, our C team and our D team. And of course it’s at least as bad for Canada and the USA. I don’t think there is any other nation that has more than 50 players there, but Finland, The Czech republic and others also miss most of their best. The Russians have at least a dozen players of NHL calibre that have chosen to play at home in the KHL, but even they suffer. They lost to the Czechs in the round robin and they needed a shootout to get past Sweden.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that 2026 will be a real tournament. :|

So, when we couldn’t win, I’m happy the Finns did.
They’re a country with a strong hockey tradition and this is their first olympic gold in the event.
Good for them.

And in hindsight, the bronze meant more for the Slovaks - their first olympic medal in hockey - then it would have for us. We wanted gold. So, yeah, to some extent happy for them too.
