World Championship 2018

Post by Per »

Getting a little worried about Sweden's chances...

Markström and Lundqvist are apparently taking care of injuries. Lehner has turned them down. As has Läck.
It now seems Anders Nilsson may tend goal for Sweden at the World Championships! :but:

Markström, the Sedins and Loui Eriksson have all said no.
Haven't heard about Edler yet. He may get the call, depending on who else is available.
Klingberg and Ekman-Larsson have already reported they will come, so at least we have a pretty decent first pairing. 8-)

Most people expect that Elias Pettersson may get a shot.
Again, depending on what NHLers may report for duty, of course, but there should be at least a handful of SHLers on the team and I think it would be great to let him measure himself against the competition on the international stage.
Good investment for the future.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Danes get an NHL calibre goalie as Toronto is eliminated.

Good for them, they need it.

Two games for Nilsson = two shutouts! :o

Sure, against France and Austria, but still.

Maybe it's not really a goaltending problem in Vancouver?

We just need to make sure the blue line consists of players like Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Adam Larsson, John Klingberg, Hampus Lindholm and Erik Gustafsson, and then the goaltending automatically falls into place. :drink:

But sure. It helps playing teams like France and Austria.

Hey Per,

Pettersson didn't play versus Austria and there are rumours of flu, mononucleosis, etc. Local radio this morning was having a tantrum about the lack of information coming out of the World' Championships, so I say ask our man on the ground in Sweden... any news?
