Sweden is still carrying 27 players on the roster, so I guess they need to cut a few.

Looks like a strong team though! 8-)
Out of the 27, 21 are already drafted by NHL teams, 5 in the first round and 5 in the second, and three are slated to go in the first round in 2018 (Rasmus Dahlin, ranked #1 by most scouting reports, Isac Lundeström, ranked #15-30 and Jacob Olofsson, ranked #20-32.

The most interesting players to watch are probably those already drafted in the first round, plus Rasmus Dahlin:

#7 Timothy Liljegren (D) 6'0" 192 lb, drafted # 17 in 2017 by Toronto
#8 Rasmus Dahlin (D) 6'2" 183 lb, has been playing in the SHL since age 16, predicted to go first in the 2018 draft
#24 Lias Andersson (C) 5'11" 198 lb, drafted #7 in 2017 by the NY Rangers
#26 Erik Brännström (D) 5'10" 181 lb, drafted #15 in 2017 by Las Vegas
# ? Alexander Nylander (RW/LW) 6'1" 192 lb, drafted #8 in 2016 by Calgary (now belongs to Buffalo)

and of course...

#14 Elias Pettersson (C/RW) 6'2" 165 lb, drafted #5 in 2017 by Vancouver ! :D

I think it might be an idea to put this tourney up to CC Chat because we have so many teams to watch and players
to comment on. Just a thought. I don't want to make the call.

By the way, Merry Christmas !

Probably not a bad call to move it to the front page for a couple weeks. That way Dud won’t forget to comment in the proper thread after one of his legendary red wine and flap of bump benders

Moving from the boards towards the centre, just as a Belarussian player blocks the goale's view, a quick release and the puck touches the gloveside shoulder on its way into the net. Great vision, great shot.

I love this guy! :D

Btw, Blob, it's Pettersson, with an O.
Danes and Norwegians have names ending in -sen.
Swedes, Icelanders and Scots end their patronyms with -son.

"Cut backs", fucking cut backs. You pay extra to get 3, 4 and 5?
Last few years, they gave a week or 10 days free for all bout this time.
Simple fact of the matter is, they just don't have people hired to cover it. :?: :?:

What's the deal with Gord Millers missing chin? It's all throat right to his bottom lip? I wonder if Reefer sports a similar non-chin?
