“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Canada all over sweden on the forecheck...no room to move or time to think...
Swedish coach looks like he yanked Pettersson off the top line...one too many turnovers. Hes struggled

Pettersson is easily out muscled. Physically, one of the weaker players on the ice.
I can see why Steenbergen has been stapled to the bench.

Re: World Juniors 2018
i wouldn't be terribly worried UDL. It's a 19 year old's tourney, and Petersson is built like a 16 year old.Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2018 7:39 pmYa hes a ways out from being able to jump into an NHL line up.Island Nucklehead wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2018 7:00 pm

He'll get there on talent alone, but it'll just take a couple years for his body to catch up.

Re: Pettersson weight issue.
It's why if he makes the Canucks on his talent alone next season, it's best if he's sheltered in between a veteran two-way presence in Eriksson and the rugged & even bigger dude by next year Virtanen, because every year he should be piling on the lean muscle, JV should be gunning for the optimal Iginla size of 6'1 - 210/215lbs.

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.
