I blame Reef. Never taunt from a position of uncertainty. 😉

Nobody’s going to comment on the bad luck aspects? The tying goal and Dobson’s stick breaking are brutally low on likelihood scale.

Mind you, Canada looked tired and hanging on ... didn’t look undeserved by Finland.

Ack. Still sucks.

Extremely unlucky, but you're not likely to win many 1-0 games at this tourney.

This is why Gretzky said he would have boycotted composite sticks the first time his stick exploded and cost him a goal. How much do you wanna bet this wasn’t the first time in his career that Dobson’s stick exploded when he had a shot at an open net?

I wonder what brand of stick he uses.....

Many of the supposed experts said this Canadian junior team would have a tough time getting to the metal round.
There were a lot of 19 year olds. I'm assuming that it was figured the team would be a bit on the slow side for the type of tournament this is.
Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with Canadian hockey development.

I bet you can get cheap medal round games now, poor TSN, their audience just dropped more than 50% with Canada out.

Yes! A Swedish player who actually scores! :D

Hoping for a US vs Finland final.

That being said, Samberg is a fricking idjit! Wtf?
Apart from that crosscheck toward the face being a borderline criminal offense, he forces his team to play 3 against 5 for like a minute...! And for what? Sheesh! Get a grip! If that's not a match penalty (which it should be) they should bench him for what he did to his own team.

Two minutes?! Shit! These refs are a joke. :|

Some of the calls in Sweden's game vs Switzerland were ludicrous.
A Swiss player skating into the path of a Swedish player resulted in an interference call on the Swede...!
A perfect shoulder to shoulder hit resulted in two minutes for elbowing. Elbowing?! The arm was alongside the body.

But those calls didn't really impact the game. Switzerland had a great goalie, who made some world class saves, and Sweden just could not create the offense necessary to win. Poor coaching? Possibly.
I still think eight players having had stomach flu was the main cause of the complete lack of energy.

---

And OK, they picked that other Russian player for his payback, which is reasonable, so no 3 on 5.
