So pretty much proof positive that we have too many Swedes on the Canucks!!

Not surprised. I expected Canada to win, but I like the offense this young Swedish team generates.
Unfortunately they seem to have problems holding on to a win; they were ahead 3-1 and 4-2 against the Czechs, then let them catch up before winning on penalties, and now rhey were ahead 3-0 and 4-3 against Canada before managing to lose the game. Mårts has to have a long talk with his players about this.

In a manner Sweden was outcoached. In the first period they were dominant. Then after the break, Canada changed their lines a bit, adjusting their game, while Sweden kept rolling the same lines. Sweden won the first period 3-0, Canada won the rest of the game 6-1. Guess the Swedes were better prepared, but once the Canadian coaches had analysed the situation they managed to turn the game around. Main thing is our kids see and learn and don't do as stupid mistakes next time. Now we know we can rattle Canada. But we need to be able to do so for a full 60 minutes. This Canadian team may be the best ever in a world championship though, and I'd be surprised if they do not win gold. I think Sweden will almost certainly medal as well though.

Saw a couple highlights of this before heading in to work.

Canadian goalie, Canadian coach and a nice talent for banking pucks off the boards and in behind the US Defense..

Hmm Sweden had the game 3-0 .. same as Canucks over Flames.. Must be a Swedish thing ? both had swedish captains ? They both blew it !

Don't know much about Switzerland, but their flag is a big plus.
