If this regime can also draft as well as they seem to at signing free agents, then this re-tool may not take as long or be as painful. Gotta dump salary though.

Following the win Horvat was grabbed by an in-rink reporter, who asked Horvat what the fanbase was like on Long Island. Horvat, meanwhile, took aim at the Canucks:
Host: Two more regular season games. One more here at UBS Arena. How does this rank for you in playoff pushes, the excitement of this building and the fans involvement over the last couple of games?
Horvat: It’s been unbelievable. A lot better than Vancouver, I’ll tell you that for free.

Wow, that was pretty classless and unnecessary. The whole facade of the classy 9-year Canuck captain... he just spat on it, the city, the fans and the organization that treated him so well.

Petty shit that he should have kept inside and only vented to his inner circle. Imagine what he'll say in a few years when NYI are old, are a lottery team and his contract dumped to a cap floor team.

Maybe he was still holding a grudge with the failed negotiations here or maybe he really was a passive-aggressive douche the entire time.

Awful shift by Aman. 3 minutes.

I'm one of those who still doesn't believe he should be handed a full-time 4th line center role next year. There has to be some competition for him. I can't believe when I hear people saying he's capable of being the 3rd line center. If he is, then the mediocrity will never end.

Yup.

He is a guy who should have to compete for a 4th line spot.

We need more bench shots of Darryl Sutter's face as the leads holds and the game drags on...
