43 games to get a minimum of 58 points. Get to 95 points for the privilege to get steamrolled in round one.

27 -12- 4. You think they have a shot at a record like that?
That part is fair enough I suppose.

(even if you did brutally destroy our flower garden)

But this part certainly is not:

Or did I miss it, did Blob just prove mathematically that Petey and Hughes will demand trades?

Nope. I just asked how long they will be happy playing in playoffs 2 out of every ten years.

Horsey asked you for your math, he didn't ask you to piss all over the place yet again...

If you were a pro athlete would you want to play for a team that had realistic aspirations to win a championship or would you prefer to play for a bottom feeder?

Let's see, that's 58 of a possible 86 points, for a .674 record.

Under BB last year they went 32-15-10 for a .649 record. Repeating that pace (which was set over a longer period) would net them 56 points. So they only need to repeat last year's pace over a shorter timeframe and get one extra win.

Doesn't sound like it's out of the realm of possibility does it Blob?

Nice interview with Bones in the first intermission. What an interesting career he had: started as an Assistant Coach, became a head Coach for a few years, but had some tough years and then became an Assistant again for a good numbers of years (many with AV). It looked like he would be an Assistant for the remainder of his career, but he was kinda at the right place, at the right time and now he's looking like a very good Head Coach again. The Jets were not expected to play this well and he's getting a lot of the credit. AV should go work for him for a couple years.

I found what he said quite interesting. He basically said that building relationships with his players and earning their trust is the most important thing for him, more important than the Xs and Os. That sounds so much like Coach B. The criticism from our mgmt against Coach B is his failure to implement a strong system of of Xs and Os. I guess at the end of day, it's a result orientated business. It's working for Bones, but not really working Coach B this season. At this point, it's looking highly unlikely that Coach B will be back next season. Too bad, I like him, but he even said himself, if he fails to get the team into the playoffs his 2nd year, mgmt can just let him walk.

A big difference between the Jets game and the Avs game was the Jets forechecked, usually two players but at times three forecheckers.

Three were used when Vancouver was changing and the defender stood behind his net. Two checkers low to limit skating out and a third high to trake away a long breakout pass.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

You're confusing possibility with probability.

I’d be willing to throw down a bet if you’re so inclined. Give you some decent odds too.

What are the odds of both Petey and Hughes demanding trades?
