Patience Blobby, they've been fucky for 15 games now.
But they're still the same group that did so well under Bruce last year.
9 of their 15 games have been on the road, and they're in the middle of their 2nd brutal road trip.
Give it til Christmas, what's the rush?
It feels like you can't handle a slump.
EDIT: And oh, don't EVER wish a thrashing by the Bruins on your Vancouver Canucks!
The rush is they kinda need playoffs this season don’t they?
With 11 points in 15, they’ll need 84 in 67 to hit 95.
So the rush to "Blow the team up" is so they make the playoffs this season?
You think they'd have a better chance at making the playoffs if they pull off some mega-trade(s)?
(and without trading away picks, because you've been adamant about dat dere)
They'd be dealing from a position of weakness as well...
You're not making much sense here Blob, I feel like you're super emo at the moment.
And no doubt rather high (hey Saturday night amirite?)
Yeahno, best chance to "make the playoffs this season" is to stay the course and pray.
(better than praying for the Bruins to spank us tomorrow)
Then, after Christmas... or near the deadline... IF they're still horrid, then make deals.
But at that point you will have given up on making the playoffs this season.
So long as they continue with the current roster down the current path they will always be dealing from a position of weakness.....most teams that admit the need for a rebuild are dealing from that position.
If they go on a hot streak then ownership will likely forbid trades that lead to a rebuild because they'll be chasing a false hope trying to grab playoff revenue. The most likely result of that, at this point, would be that they miss the playoffs by just a few points and everyone points to the shit start and how they would have been a 100 point team if they had played to their potential out of the gate, then we rinse repeat next year. The next likely is they make the playoffs and are bounced in the opening round, barring a return of Bubble Demko. I get the old adage, anything can happen in the playoffs.....especially with a hot goaltender. However every team that has done that (Ducks in 02, Flames in 04, Edmonton in 06, Montreal in 21) has fallen short and never gone deep again with the same roster. Anyways, I digress.
But your desire to see them spin their wheels in perpetuity rather than pull the plug early, the rabid trolling, the seemingly always up-to-date news on the Leaves (and obsession with them), coupled with your outright hate for Boston.....I can only come to one conclusion: Doc = Tuna.
Epic smokescreen sir, I applaud you.
