My point was we didn't see enough of them. Pods had a good game, should have been out there instead of his little buddy.

Suppose it could have been worse. They could have ended it with the 3-on-0.

Skipped a Big Mac for this shite, man.

EDIT: That's right. Sit Garland over Hogs? Incredulous.

Bruce seems to have a problem with Podkozin in OT. He was skating a hell of a lot hard the Brock.

OK, I guess it is time for us fans to step up!

We know they can win a game, as long as it is only 40 minutes long.
Thus we need to ensure that the games end after the second period.
Not sure how, but there must be a way. Bomb threats, riots, flares thrown onto the ice.
Just let your imagination run wild.
Whatever it takes to ensure that the third period isn’t played!

I mean, if we discount the third period, wouldn’t they have won like every single game?
Whatever you do, always give 100 %!
Except when donating blood.

Yes, we gave up another lead, but we were one EP40 goalpost away from feeling a LOT better today. Instead, we're sitting here wondering how we've supported this team for 50 years and will continue to until we all die off.

We should have had that game, and if Miller and Hughes were just a little more like themselves of last year, we would have. Instead, we're still watching the pre-season Canucks (didn't we do this last year, too?). Maybe Bruce should have trimmed that roster sooner and give them more time together. Too late now.

Side note: wasn't Mikheyev brought in as a defensive specialist? (-3 last night)

I'm not panicking yet - but Miller needs to wake up, Brock needs to start scoring, Quinn needs to find his game and then we can see the 'stars' align and start putting some wins together.

The good news is, we're only 1 point out of a wildcard spot!

Rats and I sacrificed hard for this.

Right said, Corn. Just hoping they can get points from this last road game, then come home and get on some kind of a roll.

Lets remember Hughes was sick in training camp. They sat him the last few days. Brock broke his thumb and missed all the pre season games. Myers got hurt and last night was his first game back. Mikheyev was also injured during preseason and last night was his first night back. So those 4 get somewhat of a pass as they get up to game shape. If you look at Hughes up close he looks like death warmed over. I would not be surprised if he was still battling something. Getting home and resting will do him a world of good.

But the rest, JT I'm looking at you, need to find their game and soon.

With respect to OT, I remember so many OT games last year where we had the first early chance and hit posts and crossbars only to have the other team end it. Last night was like that. The Alien almost ended it.

Special teams are not so special. Our PP isn't working because we are trying to be too perfect, find that perfect shot. We get too fancy with the puck and give it away far too often. My 1st unit right now would be Hughes, Peterson, Horvat, Podkolzin, Kuzmenko. We have too many who play the permitter and we need players who will much and retrieve the puck. Oh and shoot more.

PK, I am at a loss. Except no JT.
The only HW the Canucks need

I'd like to see some of these guys attend the Laforge School of Hockey to get their PhD.

Yeah - forgot about Hughes - could be something lingering. Myers, yeah - first game back, same with Mikeyev, and Brock had hand surgery - Ok..... I'll let it slide for now.

You might have to refresh my memory, but wasn't that the low point of Canucks history?

And talk about trying to make an acronym work. Pride. Sure. Hustle. Sure. But desire? That's just weird. But then I don't have a PhD in hockey.
