Beware the Ottawa Plan! A far away place that we can only assume will work, But Doyle on the other hand guarantees it will

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Toffoli seems to have come back down to earth. Glad we can stop hearing from the we should have kept Toffoli crowd.
He had an Anson Carter like one off. Most chilled folks knew it wouldn’t last.
Most chilled folks knew that he was punching above his weight class last year for sure. But those same folks also know that he's punching below it this year playing on a team that lost some serious pieces this off-season. Toffoli has always been a guy who scores at a 25 goal/45 point pace, and if on a team that can generate more offense and if paired with talented linemates he probably gets to 55 points. He's still producing at better than 0.5ppg on a shit team with no real offensive punch.
Either way you spin it Elmer should have kept him last year.
However, if keeping him last year meant not Garland this year, then nobody should be complaining.

So basically what you're saying is hes wildly inconsistent and in a downward spiral statistically...

Well, actually I did a quick check and he's not. He's putting up total points at his usual pace, his goals scoring is about 70% of norm.
