GDT: Canucks @ ducks - Nov 14 - 5pm SNP

Post by Cornuck »

Well, I'm ready for a one and done shot at a GDT. I have no hope for this one - I see a team lost at sea, adrift in the doldrums and a coach waiting to walk the plank.

Image

I guess the only question is, will the ducks score a touchdown tonight and continue our streak?

I already feel sorry for Halak - he might get shellshocked and forced to play the whole game so we can rest Demko.

LINK:
Anaheim: 6-0 in their last 6 games
Anaheim: 6-2 in their last 8 games vs a team with a winning % below .400

Vancouver: 6-13 in their last 19 road games
Vancouver: 15-38 in their last 53 games playing on 0 days rest

Anaheim has been one of the hottest franchises in the last couple of weeks while Vancouver is struggling to get going. The Canucks are scoring 2.5 goals per game this year while the Ducks are scoring 3.47 goals a night. Vancouver is starting their backup goalie against a great offensive team and that doesn’t match up well for their chances. The Canucks are winless in their previous five games played in Anaheim so go with the Ducks to win at home here.

The goalies that are expected to start in this game have been doing pretty well this season as Halak is giving up 2.41 goals per game while Gibson is allowing 2.49 goals per game. Looking as of late, Anaheim is giving up 1.6 goals per game in their previous five outings while Vancouver is allowing 3.4 goals per game in that same stretch. The under is 18-6-3 in the last 27 games against one another so go with UNDER 5.5 GOALS in this game here.

Maybe you've hit on something and this is an actual, real time ploy we could attempt.

Ok...here goes...

Yeah, I'm with you Corn....no way we win...can't wait to watch us lose again.

I doubt anything remotely positive will occur for us as a matter of fact.

I am just amused by how many think we will see improvement if changes are made? As long as these owners are the owners same old same old will continue

Hey, your the best Chef but get this coach out of here and the players will respond in a positive fashion. Minor league coach, minor league playbook, minor league team play. If you mean the Italians wont pony up for a quality bench boss, we have a problem. Are they afraid of the Babcock syndrome?

No. A few more truth bombs need to be dropped.

We've never not sucked as a franchise.

The Canucks provided a better effort the last time around (than in Colorado), but lacked cohesion, confidence, + with few exceptions lacked unity & balls.

Yet management/ownership continue to hold this titanic on course.

More Canucks pain is coming. Ducks by 2 or 3.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

^ Too fuckin' spot on, I'm afraid.

The one trick pony will soon run out of combinations (and time).
