When Myers loses his equilibrium and goes helicoptering out of control things happen.

Good and bad.

I would say I wonder if Green will still be behind the bench tomorrow in Anaheim…but that’s a no brainer. Of course he will. It’s not his fault.

Man, when were up 2-0, I thought maybe our fortunes were starting to turn and maybe we can get a streak going. NOT! :(

Demko and Myers looked over-worked. Probably Demko's worst game this year and Myers was our only legitimate NHL RS D-man tonite. I didn't think Lehner was very good either, but we couldn't take advantage of it.

Nice to see B.Hutt still kicking around in the NHL. He's good enuff that good teams will want him for depth @ a cheap salary. Speaking of Hutty, man, I thought J.Dicks was supposed to be a big strong guy that's tuff to play against. If Hutty can knock him around with a hit and then stand up to him in a pretty even fight, just how tuff is J.Dicks? B.Hutt must have only thrown a handful of hits his whole time here as a Nuck. *LOL* J.Dicks was supposed to be our shut-down centre and help our PK. He wasn't even playing centre tonite and our PK has been dread aweful. Add to the fact that he has been pretty shitty in the faceoff dot, is he any better than Rousell/Beags? Fuq, those guys might even be better than him.

B.Hutt vs J.Dicks: who wins in a fight? Inconclusive tonite. *hehe*

Nice to see MacT join the panel. There has been lots of talk about a coaching change, if MacT was a lil younger, I wouldn't mind considering him. He looked like a geezer on the panel with the the other commentators. He actually worked a year for us under MG's watch and did a pretty good job with our minor league affiliate Chicago Wolves. I like his philosophy as he said: u can't win in the NHL with small, slow and soft. He knows what it takes to win a Cup and I'm sure he's a bit hungry to win one as a NHL head coach as he came super close one year; however, he's prob a bit too old and maybe has been out of the league for a bit too long.

To me the 4 makes sense Mick.

Once OEL goes at McNabb like that he's going to get 2.

But there was a legit reason for him to do what he did so NHL Refereeing 101 demands he hit McNabb with 2 so as to not A)cause a riot B)look silly in front of his compatriots and bosses.

But seeing as the McNabb hit was to the chest thus legal OEL gets the extra 2.

I can live with that because that type of shit is what it is with refs in a mutli-player physical confrontation that could get worse. So he "takes control" of the game.

The weak hooking call to put us down 2 and results in a late goal changing the momentum of the game is the one that irks me.

Yah; No choice, I know. Here's the odd thing. The other guy took a minor swing back. That got him a two and OEL then, gets an auto four.

Post-game; Oliver Ekman Larsson 5;39 min.
"Right away I didn't like the hit... We need that in our group, to step up for each other." - Oliver Ekman-Larsson on stepping up after the McNabb hit on Podkolzin.
"We came out harder, like we talked about after last game. I thought we did a lot of good things in the 1st and 2nd and would have liked maybe a few plays back in the 3rd."
Post Game; Travis Green 8:39 min.
"There were some calls against us that shouldn't have gone against us," says Travis Green.
Notes that he's not one to complain about refereeing, but didn't like the call against OEL and calls the penalty against Demko "atrocious".
Green: "I thought it was a much better effort tonight. Loved our start. Obviously there's a couple plays we'd like to have back.
--Green on Pettersson: "We are concerned. We're talking to him a lot. Tonight he did some things that I like in his game. He's aware that he's not on top of his game but he's a good young player and he's going to find his game."
Travis Green didn't have an update on J.T. Miller's availability for Sunday vs. Anaheim.
Admitted he was banged up in the third period tonight. We'll have to wait and see.
Brendan Batchelor @BatchHockey
Tonight’s post-game media availability is by far the most frustrated and disheartened I have ever seen Brock Boeser. He looked like he was on the verge of tears. Canucks
"It's just frustrating in general. I hate losing." - Brock Boeser
