Canucks get back at it on Tuesday. Hopefully Green can get a practice in and work on several things.

Missed the 5 min penalty so will wait for Mick-Linky to see what happened

Not sure if this wasn't one of the worst games ever for Pettersson not including the ones where he took an injury.. Miller was far from good as well.
Seemed Garland, Hoglander and Larsson were our best.

Garland is an angry little elf! Love his game tonight, the team was all over this ahl squad but their goalie was unstoppable.

Meh...it happens

Fatigue from the back to back, a hot goalie and some bad luck. They're still a very good team loaded with talent. Teams are obviously getting up for games against us.

Even though they're playing their best they don't compare to Van

Man, JT Miller is a frustrating player to watch. Disappointing that Podkolzin didn't get more time, I can see Green sending him to Abby once Boeser returns.

Opportunity lost. Dominated but the goalie had our number tonight. Unfortunately it happens, it just stings when it does.

TBH; We played the shits. Miller was off and Petey just isn't up to speed. There's other too but I'm pointing my finger at Travis. No way he had this team prepared. Not as though this is the only time he's had to coach in a back to back situation.

POST GAME BO HORVAT; 6:48 min.
Bo Horvat on the Garland/Zadina collision: I didn’t get an explanation on it. Obviously, it wasn’t as bad as their team made it out to be.
“No matter how many shots you take, you don’t always get the win. It’s about how you bounce back in the next one.”
🗣 Horvat gives his take on the team’s performance
POST GAME CONOR GARLAND: 4:43. min.
“I hit the brakes trying to create space.”
🗣 Garland gives his take on the collision and tonight’s battle in Detroit
POST GAME TRAVIS GREEN: 5:45 min.
Green: "I liked our performance. We probably deserved a point or two but their goalie was really good."
Travis Green describes the Garland/Zadina collision as a hockey play. A reverse hit that happens a lot. Said he thought there should have been penalties for the plays on Garland (Fabbri slash, Erne high contact off the draw.

Only caught the 3rd…..

Team needs to finish a bit better. Despite the lopsided shot totals there was a perceivable lack of urgency at times.

The positives…..

Despite the “urgency” the Canucks could have won this game 6-2 just based on their play in the 3rd period alone. Made me think I’d hopped a time warp and was watching Hasek circa 2002.

This iteration of the Canucks is much more fluid North/south and out-skates the last several Stinky Whale rosters by a country mile.

Our player movement in our own end and on the forecheck is much improved…..owing a good deal to the improved skating.

Nice to see 4 blueliners who aren’t handling a live grenade when the puck comes to them at the point or under pressure. Seeing #23 receive passes and actually do something other than lose the puck or send it smashing into shin pads or off the glass and out is a game changer for these eyes after over a decade of cringeworthy disappointments…..I also appreciated the moxie our new 23 showed with that little spear.

Others mentioned Garland. He’s a beauty. Tenacious and quick. That penalty he got for the collision with Zadina was pure bullshit.

How did Halak play? I only saw the 3rd, he didn’t have to do too much.

That game must have felt good for Samwise after Greener & Co. flushed him down the toilet. He wins a big faceoff vs JT and scores the empty netter.
