A lot of good cycles and board play in the O zone but no finish. We miss Brock for sure so let us hope he is good to go sooner rather than later. Smith was good or did we make him look good?
Chase-on definitely made Smith look good. I know we’re missing Boeser but the organization needs more skill and offensive depth when you’re putting the likes of Dowling on the PP. I know Green is trying to spread the skill through the lines, but with the exception of the Horvat line, every line felt like there were two players with offensive ability trying to tow a boat anchor on skates in the offensive zone. I used to think that blue line depth was the priority, but Benning needs to build more offensive forward depth instead of more Fochts and Lockwoods.

I didn't mind Dowling's game but not on the PP, please. Highmore was good on the PK and showed some hustle. Chase-is-on does not impress me and its hard not to see what Gad or big Z could have done to replace what he is bringing. We saved like what $100,000 in cap by signing him and waiving big Z.
This one still mystifies me, but maybe it’s Green’s addiction with ‘safe’ vets who have an established, acceptable floor even if their ceiling is not high at all, rather than taking a chance and living with youngsters who haven’t yet reached their ceilings. Coaches love their job security.

I think we can all agree now that Hoglander is a very good hockey player. It’s stunning that he was available to us in the 2nd round
It’s his size. Not many GMs dare gamble on a short stack. But yes, he is coming along great and despite not being the tallest guy on the ice, he has no fear of going into the dirty areas.
Per, I know you’re not a massive fan of Hoglander but bare with me, in a 2019 redraft are you drafting Hoglander ahead of fellow Swedes who went ahead of him in the first round - Soderstrom, Broberg, Thomson, Bjornfot, Holmstrom
I am 110 %
Hey, I am a massive fan. I’m just explaining why he was still available.
You didn’t answer the question
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Quick Greener! Get Chiasson out on the PP! Saviour! Well worth losing Gadjovich for!
Really makes you wonder how much faster - if at all - Chiasson was in preseason over Gadjovich.
MacEwan, Gadjovich gone on waivers for PP specialist Chiasson and someone named Dowling, Juolevi traded for journeymen trash and Lind gone in expansion draft. Awesome asset management
… what sort of reverse pagentry is this?!?
