Well.

A dumpster fire that's won 5 of its last 6 games.

Reminiscent of the 2012 team that stumbled down the stretch into the President's Trophy, needing the Rangers (cue Cornuck) to lose it for them to win it.....who were then bounced in 5 games by the Kings.

Oh and have you looked at the SOG totals in those games?

Thank you very much Mr. Demko.

Imagine... in the GDT... calling your team after having just won said game "a dumpster fire".

Shall I go ahead and change his handle to Medster then?

I'm seeing good things from this Hawryluk kid (other than the goal) He moves his feet and has a touch of asshole to his game. Almost Motte-like

This was not the most exciting game I’ve watched.
I kept dozing off and thinking of Jacques Lemaire while I watched it.
But results are everything at this point, so I can’t complain.

Leaves +10
Jets +8
Oilers +5
Habs +5
Flames +2
Canucks -2
Senators -10

Jets failed to get a win to catch the Leaves, too bad.
Habs win and Oilers loss leaves the Canucks seven back still, but of two teams instead of one - small victories.
We could use some friggin help Jets!
Demko playing well enough to help the Canucks beat a rookie goalie. This is unheard of and shows what a roll Demko is on.
We are all Snidely Whiplash.

No. Not at all. The 2nd worst team in the league just outshot us by almost 20 shots. One of our pair of regulation goals was because Ottawa gift wrapped to Pearson.

That wasn’t a well played game by the Canucks. It was an exceptional game by Demko.

Jayce Hawyluk; post-game..3;28 min.
“It’s nice to see the puck go in. My line played really well and we generated a lot of chances. It feels good to get it against a former team.” - Jayce Hawryluk on his first goal in a Canucks uniform.
Tanner Pearson, post-game..3:19 min.
Tanner Pearson on Demko: We for sure need to help him out more. Most stuff that we give up comes from ourselves. If we clean that stuff up, we'll help him out. / Tanner Pearson on his contract status: I've said it before. I want to stay here. That's all I've got
Thatcher Demko; post-game..4:19 Min. **great interview..
Thatcher Demko says he feels as dialed in as he has at the NHL level right now.
"Just gotta try and keep it rolling and keep the wins coming"
JT Miller, post-game..3:19 min.
JT Miller: We gave them a little too much tonight, and we know that. We're in a position where we need two points, so we'll take that, but we understand we need to be better.
Travis Green, post-game..5:31 min.
Travis Green: It was nice to win that game without a doubt.
--Travis Green on Thatcher Demko: He's developing into a good young goalie. He's playing very well right now.
--Travis Green: I didn't think we played very well. We looked sluggish tonight. The best part of our game was probably the first 10-11 minutes of the 3rd period. / Travis Green: I thought we looked sluggish tonight. Didn't pass the puck very well. It's nice to get a win when we probably didn't play our best.

Yeah I thought it was maybe the worst game we've played this season. Demko was otherworldly out there.

Almost an entire 60 minutes of rope-a-dope with Demko making 44 saves...

Yeah it was a kind of a typical first game after cross continent travel. We've got to be better Wednesday and I'm pretty sure we will be. Nice to get the two points though.
