Could work! Petey has gotten wayyy too predictable on the PP and a change-up is definitely in order.Meds wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 8:01 pmOh that's definitely a thought that's gone through my head a bunch. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 7:45 pm Ofc its not him but i do think the powerplay spends way too much time working around to get his one timer off. Without focusing on the EP plan they are moving around more and creating net front traffic far better. Pettersson more or less is stationary with his stick raised...so predictable
Honestly I'd change the PP up with him there. Put him somewhere to be more of a playmaker. If his hockey IQ is as elite as people say then the guy is wasted as a simple trigger man.
He skates like Wayne, so why not stick him in Gretzky's office and when he doesn't have the puck he can sneak back to the goalie's left for that bullet of his.
Hargraves is on a run here.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:40 am The Canucks keep this up we are playoff bound. Montreal is catchable, holding the last playoff spot just 4 points up
+ 1The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 6:52 am You can see why this torontoilet team sucks in the playoffs though. When the checking is tight and they dont have a free pass to dangle they really dont have anything else in their arsenal other than Hymen skating behind the net. Maybe adding career playoff choker Thornton wasn't such a good call after all lol
Matthews is such a fag as well. He just cant accept it when teams key on him and finish him hard...he's used to being everybody's special little guy and hates to have to work for it.
Keep it up, Blob!Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 11:06 amHargraves is on a run here.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:40 am The Canucks keep this up we are playoff bound. Montreal is catchable, holding the last playoff spot just 4 points up![]()
Overall, I have been happy with Sutts this season. He finally seems to be over the injury bug (knock on wood) and looking like his former healthy self. He does make some mistakes on occasion and it looks like he's pacing/protecting himself at times, but he's still one of our best defensive forwards. I liked the clip Juice showed of Sutts on A.Matthews, Sutter giving him a couple of "Red Deer cross checks he learned from his uncles without taking a penalty". When the games are close and Sutt's is playing like that, he's a valuable player on the team. Juice also had clips of Rooster and Virts playing playing Matthews hard and getting him off his game. It was great.
Yeah, I liked Greener breaking up the lotto line too, it too easy to get shut down if all our best players are on one line. Break it up and spread out the scoring. Miller has been pretty good with Brock, so I was thinking put Petey with Sutts-Gauds, maybe Petey can help them get going a bit.CrzyCanuck wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 6:36 pm Maybe we should break up lotto line have Miller play 3rd line
and also on PP put either Petey or Miller on PP unit 2 instead
