The lone bright spot all season - Hoglander. Too bad he has to experience this
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

At least we didn't get beat by Spezza alone.

That would have made the Canucks better this season

... but what about a few years from now when Petey/Huggy are in their prime?

Confirmed sighting skating off at the end of the game there...
I’m just glad he didn’t ruin his trade value by getting injured tonight. Brave by him.

Who wants to win in an asterisk season??

Take a step back, get one more top draft pick, come back next year with a real coach.
nobody expects to win this season doc

Yup, Toffoli I wanted, but Marky and Tanev were the right moves for the long game.

even if we didn't lose toffoli, marky, tanev,

with the way this team has been playing will lead to the same shit we are seeing

The veterans and top players for whatever reason are not playing NHL level hockey

This game was mostly on Demko, with an assist to JT. This should have been much closer if Demko was sharp, or the coach had been bright enough to make an early pull.

JT has been making lazy and sloppy plays this season

Something is off

Most of players can't make simple good passes too

We still have a lot of shitty contracts coming off the books over the next 2 seasons that would’ve off set the signings of Tanev, Markstrom and Toffoli

Markstrom - $6 million per
Holtby - $4.3 million per

Tanev - $4.5 million per
Schmidt - $5.95 million per

Toffoli - $4.25 million per
Virtanen - $2.6 million per

Markstrom, Tanev and Toffoli cost $1,825,000 million more per season than Schmidt, Holtby and Virtanen. Are you telling me we couldn’t have found a way to find that extra $1,825,000 million per. Very bad choice by Benning IMO

I don’t think anyone except Boeser and Motte is playing as well as they did last season.

Term is the issue for Marky and Tanev.

Schmidt has more term than Tanev
