This would be a good game to sit and watch. Start Roussel, Horvat, MacEwen, Myers and Benn and goad the Habs into a brawl right off the hop. Captain vs Captain, Gallagher pummelled by Bo would do my heart good and set the correct tone.
Knowing Canuck luck Bo would break his hand on Gallagher's noggin and be out for 2 months.

hopefully the bouncing is directed at Myers
Why the fuck wouldn't Green start Macewen & Benn? :?
And people wonder why I'm leaning towards the replace Green camp.....

The Brown Wizard wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:21 am How did Nolan Bumgartner qualify as a defensive coach i wonder...? Was he some prodigious junior or something? I remember a middling average at best jordy benn type and it seems thats the game the canucks defense are playing...

:hmmm:
Baumgartner was drafted by Washington in 1992 and landed in the Canucks organization via the Moose in 2002. He spent the majority of his playing career in the Canucks organization with stints in Philly and LA (and their AHL affiliates). In a 20 year career he only cracked the NHL roster for 143 games.

He retired from playing at the end of 2012 while the Canucks organization was affiliated with the Chicago Wolves. He became an assistant coach for the Wolves the following season and was then transplanted to Utica where he was the assistant coach until he was promoted to the Canucks with Green in 2017.
Its a good story and all but what the fuck system is he deploying for this defense? The chinese firedrill method?

Everybody fall back and wave at pucks like chop sticks on dimsum
Damn Wiz that is freaking funny, seriously it did look like they were waving at the puck with chopsticks in the last game.

If this is true then WTF is JB doing? I know he likes to let Green make the decisions but hell I would be like “really Travis? The same lineup?”

Still haven’t got a line-up?
Is Green still deciding if Loui should go in for Rafferty?
Going forward heavy tonight?
They had only one Dman back for most of the last game.
Maybe Green will go with a four-forward, one-defenseman set.
Why fight it?

So I wonder how minors Myers gets tonight for just being 6'8" and leaning into someone smaller? You know, the same penalties 6'9" Chara practically never gets called for.

Gaudette out, MacEwen in. Gaudette wasn’t getting back very well, so it might help.
They need a big game.
Nice to see Edler back.

Joel Edmunson had a lil chat with Myers pre-game warm-up, so Joel gonna get a 5 min major while Myers ducks to let the team have a nice long powerplay.
