Why would anyone even ask about which Canuck goalie is playing next game??
- or was Per being goaded because of a non-Swedish goalie kicking ass?

Well the frikin Canucks surprised us with this one - playing like crap in the second, and then Boeser lighting up (good move by Green putting Brock back with Miller and Petey). The Knights must of been in shock that they were down 2-1 after dominating like they did? lol

Yeah, we're either destiny's team or there's a fix in somewhere. Jeese

I wondered if that guy was going for Myer's shoulder. Nice to see Myer's pissed and make a statement. It's really nice to get the big fella back, we really missed his RS D, muscle and size. Benn did an admirable job, but Myers really solidifies our bottom pairing.

"You never know what’s going to happen, so I’ve just been working in practice and been staying mentally sharp in case I was called upon. This is what I’ve wanted to be a part of since I was a kid. This is super special and I want to help the team any way I can. Found out later last night. Slept great last night, thankfully. Lights out at 10:10. I like to be rested, know I did everything I could to be ready to go. Probably stick with it. Just wanted to stay sharp throughout the whole process of training camp and into the bubble. Ended up I needed to go tonight and just wanted to help out. My job is just to be ready if they choose to go with me. Marky had a lot of minutes there and played well. I just wanted to be ready." - Demko
"We told Demmer last night. We got confidence in everyone of our guys. Demmer's a good pro, a good goalie. He's worked hard to stay sharp. I was happy for him. He stood tall tonight. That's part of being the guy that's the backup goalie. He's also a young goalie in the league and knows at any given time you can go in the net. Give him a lot of credit, that's not an easy spot to go into tonight." - Green on Demko
------------------
"I thought the first period was a little sloppy for both teams. Obviously in the 2nd the ice was tilted, we hung in there. Sometimes you don't play your best but you find a way to win. I'm proud of our guys, they forced a Game 6." - Green
-----------------
"He was playing well tonight. We didn't have a lot of guys playing better than they had but he was one of them. I think he knew he had a little more in him. As far as putting the [Lotto] line back together it was just about finding a spark." - Green on Boeser
-----------------
"I think he's getting more comfortable with this series. Good players can adapt. Young good players probably need to adapt. This is all new to him." - Green on Hughes
-----------------
"Hindsight is 20/20. Obviously we hadn't given Demko a start but Markstrom was playing really well. Markstrom's a horse and a big part of where we are right now, but Demko stepped in well and I'm proud of him." - Green on not starting Demko before tonight

Coach said the boys would be ready tonight but where was the coach??

Needed to get away from that 70's+Petey line games ago. I don't mind Pearson as a player but today it was apparent very early that he was struggling with a bad turnover, a bad pass on an easy breakout to Petey, and fought the puck on a couple of occasions receiving passes. Team generated nothing offensively from the get-go and that line got outshot badly 9-0 with our best weapon Petey completely ineffective and discombobulated. It took 35 minutes to finally make the adjustment and we score right away. Luckily it didn't burn us today (thanks to Thatch) but it's astonishing it takes that long for an NHL coach to see what most of us were seeing off the bat.

Anyhoo... we live another day. Next game needs to be our best of the playoffs if we wanna keep this thing going. We're not stealing two games in a row.

Yes yes 10 but for now just a 2 game run will do. We can regroup in the next round!

Wow. The more I look at that there obvious it seems he was intentionally going for the shoulder. Thats a play the league needs to look at. Clearly he wanted to fuck up his shoulder again.

You kind of get an idea of who the coach trusts with his ice time management.

Horvat - 21:20
Miller - 19:03
Pearson - 18:34
Boeser 18:26
Pettersson - 18:18
Toffoli 14:34
Motte - 13:55
Virtanen - 12:31
Sutter - 11:35
Beagle - 10:04
Roussel - 8:53
Gaudette- 8:04

You really are getting terrible value out of Beagle, Sutter and Roussel. Gaudette is still a kid so no complaints there. Virtanen one should expect something like what Vegas gets out of Tuch in Virtanen but that just ain’t going to happen, regardless i’d still bring back Jake and Gaudette or use them to help get rid of one or some of Sutter, Beagle, Eriksson or Roussel. The bottom half of our forward group is not good. I think Leivo is definitely missed in this area
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
