You loathe Horvat because Gillis drafted him. Plain and simple.

Thomas Drance@ThomasDrance
Vegas bench really ragging on Elias Pettersson. As he carried the puck through the neutral zone, a Vegas player mock encouraged him.

Late in the period Nick Cousins tried a wrestling move on Brock Boeser - over about 10 feet tried to hit him into the stanchion at the end of Vancouver's bench. .Legitimately one of the dirtiest things I've seen in a long time in an NHL game.

Here's the play I'm talking about. Boeser spins off to avoid it late, but this really can't be permitted to happen.

That play by Cousins happens all the time. Thomas Drance is a fool. “Little Squirt” gee that’s top notch chirping right there.

Men vs boys last night. Canucks need to be a whole lot better or they’ll get run out of the rink in four games.

Roussel is a klown. Did Louie break a sweat at all? He needs to come out if Ten Game Tyler makes it back for his last few games in a puking whale jersey.

As poor as it was, while the game was a going concern, you could see the kinds of adjustments that the Canucks could make that would improve their chances. The Knights made less mistakes and capitalized on some real Canuck brain farts, in addition to tactically playing a game the Canucks didn’t adjust well to. Sharpness and smarts are on the individual players—I can’t imagine we will see so little spark and so many mistakes again. And tactics, there will be adjustments from Green and they will go away.

As for Reaves and Roussel, it’s a total distraction. So what if Reaves embarrasses Roussel and Roussel’s antics backfire. For those pining for Reaves, I admit he played a good game overall (not just with Rooster), but the guy has a long track record of inconsistent play and getting schooled. He’s a flawed bottom 6 players — most are — and not one who takes over.

That’s not to say he can’t have good games, he can. By the way, I thought the play of the game was when Reaves let up so as to not end Gaudette’s season. 88 became vulnerable and Reaves let up. Reaves’ game was pretty clean overall last night—the hard hits were good hockey hits and the get-a-pass-in-the playoffs stick work was all well within the norm.
Yeah it reminds me of Ferland vs the 2015 Canucks, he got in their head, and was a distraction from the actual game of scoring goals.

Ferland should send a zoom message to the team about those tactics and how to overcome them. Probably to just ignore that and let him hit, but the focus should be what got the Canucks to this point, and that's a full team buy-in in Travis Green's systems, the focus, the energetic relentless play on the puck. A ton of gritty skill overcomes brawn.

Attacking the net and getting high% scoring shots on net.

The almost 30yr old Robin Lehner once again has had a career of mediocrity, just in 2018/19 with NYI he was 3rd in voting for the vezina.

Green probably gives Marky another deserved chance, but if he struggles again with 5 goals against, he's gotta try Demko to try to shake the team up and try another look.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

It's still early. If we play like this the next 2 games, then yeah, it has been fun. I think we were a bit flat after a big emotional win vs Blues and expect a better showing for game #2.

That was a great shot. Sutts takes alot of flak on this board, but he's showing true leadership there. That's why he wears an A and that's the type of guy we want in the playoffs.

Twas a sobering beating. Probably one to keep in your pocket for when things go well to keep your feet on the ground.

They had our playbook and were waiting for those stretch pass zone exits, they knew our breakouts, they had answers for all the little tricks vancouver has to get out of their zone.

Vegas is faster than Vancouver so theyll have to crisp up the passes and move the puck like a lazer beam. No pretty dangles or tic tac toe plays will win against the knights...itll have to be on and off the sticks before they can get in there. Entirely doable
If you need air...call it in
