The Blues fluked out a win cause we couldn't finish enough of our chances. If we were bad defensively then they were freakin gruesome.
Canucks were open all night long. Our guns weren't poppin.

"That was a hard fought game. We turned the puck over a few times in the neutral zone that stopped us from getting at our game. We were a shot away from winning. Had some good looks. Back at it tomorrow. I think they're a hard forechecking team all 3 games. Physical game tonight. Both teams played hard, played physical. Thought we lost the puck a couple times where we normally don't. This has been a tight series. Shot away from being up 3-0. We talked about having short term memory. Win or lose, gotta park it, enjoy it or dwell on it a bit, and get ready to play. Best part of tonight's result is we get to play tomorrow."
"I think some of our lines have played very well 5-on-5. And the way they play, they probably possess the puck a little bit more [than we do]. But they're a strong team. They're strong on the puck." - Green on 5-on-5 play / Green

Now that the winning streak is broken, will Hockey Gaud get a chance again? Loui looks like he is fading badly. He certainly could use a rest on back-to-back games. Put Sutter up on Bo’s wing and put Gaudette back between Roussel and Virtanen? Still say Jake plays best with Gaudette. Another idea would be to rest Stecher for a game, too. He got targeted badly this game. He played okay, but they may want a bigger line-up against this St. Louis. Put Fantenberg with Edler on his off wing and bring Juolevi in and play him with Benn on the third pair. Fantenberg has been really solid. Moving him to the top four might be worth a try.

Post games; Elias Pettersson and Bo Horvat / then; Jacob Markstrom and Alex Edler / the Travis Green

https://www.nhl.com/canucks/video/post- ... /c-5404628

Bo says he thought the blues splayed a good game and they have to shake it off and get ready for tomorrow;
Pettersson said his line was off it's game; HE IS RIGHT.
Markstrom was asked what he saw on the OT goal "He cane in, he shot it, high glove, goal. :look: who asked that?
Edler says gotta get ready for the next one. Eddy hates pressers.
Travis gave the generic nada More or less just refers to Bo's comments

Braydon Schenn was a wrecking ball on the Canucks. He made a huge difference. The Blues went after Hughes and even more-so, Stecher,
all night long. Quinn is smart enough to get around the intimidation part of it. Troy isn't, he used his stick as a weapon there and that aint
gonna ever work out well.
Absolutely no question JT Miller is playing hurt. Effects the dynamics of that line. Boeser was out of position too many times and wasn't able
to make good plays because of it. Don't freak though Trav! Stick with the top two lines. No, Eriksson wasn't as (decent) in this one but
they've been working well mostly.

In a nutshell; we didn't skate out the plays as much, we made too many high risk passes that got picked or simply failed.
A polite way of saying we didn't play with importunateness, urgency..
Of course we missed Myers. I know this. Chef thinks it's the big reason. I think it's one of a few minor ones that we will fix. :!:
