So with Boeser back, I assume MacEwen gets the hook.

Just when I thought the return of Boeser would finally push Eriksson out of the lineup I now see Motte's name missing.rats19 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 10:32 am Thomas Drance:
Looks like Brock Boeser will return vs. the Islanders, based on Tuesday’s line rushes at morning skate:
Pearson-Horvat-Boeser
Miller-Pettersson-Toffoli
Roussel-Gaudette-MacEwen
Eriksson-Sutter-Virtanen
Hughes-Tanev
Edler-Stecher
Fantenberg-Myers
Do the rest mickster if you would
I guess he must be injured now?
Not even Travis Green would scratch Motte in favor of the empty net honey badger. Would he

Please have mercy upon our team and protect them from injuries and being outscored. We ask this in the name of Cyclone Taylor and all that you find holy.

Islanders haven't played since Saturday when they lost in OT to the Canes.
Considering we couldn't even skate with an exhausted and banged up Bluejacket squad coming off a back-to-back, I'd say we're gonna lose this one handily.
5-2 Islanders.

I'm guessing that Jake isn't on the 3rd line simply because that would put 3 forwards together who aren't exactly renowned for their experience when it comes to defensive prowess.Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 12:53 pmTHISCherry Picker wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 12:35 pm They should let Jake play on the left side and drop Roussel down to the fourth line.
I was thinking the same thing, Jake played the left side with great success in junior.

I think Green has done a good job with Jake though.
Jake has become a very versatile player that you can place him throughout the line-up.
If he can have his place cemented on PP2, and not hitting so many posts, i think he'll be a good consistent 50 point forward for us.

Jake has been under Green's tutelage for more than the past couple seasons (I believe in Utica).....CrzyCanuck wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 6:45 pm I think Green has done a good job with Jake though.

I think JT Miller has done a good job with Jake.
Virtanen didn't start putting it together consistently until this season.....it coincides with forming a friendship and mentoring relationship with Miller.

Unfortunately we have a few too many bodies in this organization who will process that as mooseknuckle time.....Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 6:46 pm No more pussyfooting tonight.

We're talking about replacing Roussel with Virtanen on that line.Mëds wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 6:25 pmI'm guessing that Jake isn't on the 3rd line simply because that would put 3 forwards together who aren't exactly renowned for their experience when it comes to defensive prowess.Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 12:53 pmTHISCherry Picker wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 12:35 pm They should let Jake play on the left side and drop Roussel down to the fourth line.

Is it really going to make that much of a difference defensively at this point?
While we're on the subject, Mac has come along a fair bit in that department since camp.
I think I heard he's been killing penalties for the comets.
