after all, that's how he started his Canucks career

Lol, every time I encounter the name Oscar I can hear that carnie at the PNE yelling:

"HEY OSCAR, WHERE YA GOING OSCAR!!"

If they can put Pearson Bo and Louie out against top lines and they break even, the Canucks will do okay.

The other three lines are pretty solid and should outplay most 2nd to 4th lines.

Nice win, but I have to admit I was thinking Louie was going to whiff on the empty netter.

Chef wants to know is Doyle still taking Dobson over Hughes?

Good game; liked Pearson's game tonight and Miller's. Benning sure scored with the Miller trade...and Pearson's (no, he's not a fuckin genius) - ( picking juolevi over Tkachuk was _______.)
I think we are a playoff team and it's going to be a real ride along the way to see us grab a spot - lots of competition.. an lots of frickin fun - we've waited long enough!

Someone check Koskinen's pulse.. https://twitter.com/DanRiccio650/status ... 5%3Fs%3D19

Post-game oilers >>> https://www.nhl.com/oilers/video/post-r ... /c-4901259
Tippett / McDavid whining repeatedly about Bo's awesome footwork... :P

Pettersson looking rather dapper tonight.

I think Horvat was better and had his game face on tonight. An improvement to be sure. Hell, he had to be huh? :sly:
We won so I shouldn't whine but we will need more physical push-back moving forward and hopefully into the post season.
Who will provide it? Roussel, ya we saw that tonight. Maybe Jake but he doesn't want to take himself out of games for fighting majors.
He hits real well and can absorb them pretty well. Ferland will not be able to. Pearson, Horvat and Miller can all play a heavy hitting game
but there has to be more. Edler can but we need him healthy. Like to see a wee bit more from Myers but as soon as the big guy does
anything, the refs are all over him because he's big. Yes, officials are that comfortably numb.
Benn in a pinch.
I will say that Pettersson doesn't need all that much protection. He is already real NHL street savvy. Even throws a few himself. Forechecks
real well and knocks a few bodies around when it's apropos, awesome.
Expect him to pull himself out of it but Boeser unequivocally has the tell-tale symptoms of an all-out, deep rooted, slump. The points are
pretty good but he can be better both on the offense and defense. Just a thought but I wonder if he's playing with a little fear? Something.

Staying away from big injuries is imperative for this team to make a run at it. Duh
