Don't know why but I'm thinking a fairly low scoring game maybe 3-2 Canucks in OT. not SO.
Good call Mick.....

I'll hit you up for my weekend over-under picks on Thursday.
I'll make sure to say the same thing next game. :) I really didn't expect wide open. The new Travis, "just score lots".

Seriously, Demko made a couple key saves when needed. Flies under the radar a bit but I noticed. Boeser found his snipe

Pettersson keeps piling up points though maybe not so eye-popping, (maybe we're just use to it already).

Every game that goes by, it's becoming clearer what a leader / mentor / talent, JT Miller is becoming. Damn good hockey player!!

CF% stands for “Corsi For Percentage”. It is just the difference between Corsi events for and against represented as a percentage. Greater than 50% and a team has been controlling the action more often than not.

That 3rd line was rather opportunistic it seems.

It doesn’t surprise me to see Sutter, Leivo, and Ferland way down there. None of them are renowned for puck control.

Does CF take into account PK time?

Pumping him up for MAX return!

Maybe we can score another captain for him
Don’t tease SKYO with potential trade scenarios. He’ll be up all night.

Realistically tho (if current play quality continues) I think what determines our goaltending scenario next season will be Markstrom’s ask. The hard truth is that Jacob is a late bloomer while Demko looks to be on your typical curve for elite puck stoppers, this means that Benning cannot commit term and dollars to Markstrom beyond Thatcher’s current contract because Demko will be ready to be the main man in a couple years if his current play continues.

What I liked, the active sticks and support at the defensive blueline frustrated the hell out of the Panthers all night.

Has the PK changed up a bit and become more aggressive on the opposition with the puck? Previously sat back content to have the puck passed around the perimeter, blocking cross ice passes and shots.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Definitely will be one of the more interesting story lines with this team and obviously the return for either will be a huge factor along with Markstroms asking price.

If Marky comes in reasonable AND a team is offering a top end D prospect + for Demko then there are gynourmous decisions to be made that will reverberate throughout the organization for countless millennia...

The emergence of Mike Dipietro as another top goalie in the pipeline might lessen the sting of losing TD

I watched some of the coiler/panther game the day before the canucks game and noticed how slow the florida D is at moving the puck up ice. They plod along east/west just as much as north/south...seemingly to avoid turning over pucks by passing through the forecheck. It makes for a team that apppears slower than they actually are.

That's what I was wondering. From a quick look around, it appears that Corsi numbers are for even strength only. In that case... Sutter/Leivo/Ferland not so good last game.

Not surprising to see the top 3 names there. THe offensive line that would generally get minutes vs opponent's #4 line whenever possible.
Still real good though.
Real good too, Quinn Hughes "AND" Chris Tanev !! He looks great this year.
