Bo Horvat's goal 16 seconds into the extra frame marked the second-fastest goal to start a regular-season overtime in
franchise history, trailing only Dixon Ward (0:15 on Nov. 29, 1993 vs. CHI).

Demko appears to be getting more comfortable on the big stage, no really noticeable alarm bells there; positive;
Horvat is finally starting to look happier and more himself, would appear the confidence, (swagger), is returning;
Edler: Hero or Zero? After all the smoke clears, I gotta say hero.
Raining, ah to hell with it, Pissing on Chicago's parade is always fun.
Per: When you get a chance, tell us what kind or air-play Pettersson's accomplishment gets in Sweden.....
Demko's movement is not smooth, not fluid, still a little jerky. But his positioning is sound. He handles the puck well too. He usually takes a season to adjust to each level he has progressed to. These next few games are so important for his development that I hope Green at least splits the games. He presents as a good teammate and humble. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.
Its so positive that Markstrom has found game because it takes the pressure off of Demko to be the saviour.

I thought you were souring on him because he is a headcase.....

No, I’m cautious because of some the shit I’ve heard but I’m not giving up on him. I think the Canucks are going to be cautious too but he still represents our future. They say most goalies are weird in some way right?
If he only plays 1/4 or less games for us next year he will be crying. If Markstrom is consistently good next season that’s all I can see Demko playing. Demko has high expectations for himself and I don’t see him being happy if there is no clear path to him being the number one in say 2 years.
But all that aside I’m liking his game for the most part but you can see he still needs work. Calling him up this year was the right call.

I'd say he's the NHL player that gets most coverage here. But then, most of his goals are highlight real stuff, right?
Well, unless you count commercials, then Lundqvist wins. He's the face of head and shoulders here.

Just wanted to say Congrats! to Pettersson. Hopefully he can go on a hot streak and catch Bure's goal record.
Be happy if he beats Ivan Hlinkas stats as a center
Hlinka was the 3rd line center coming over to the Nucks as overage
31 years old and playing Centre behind Radin and Bolderiv .
6'2 and 220 lbs. A. +17 2 way player.
2 very different players on 2 very different teams .
81 82 Canucks, were a tough physical team with 3 great centers
This years are pussy.cats with only 1 2 way center.
Just hoping they don't overplay Pettersson this year .
