Based upon production he deserves Bo money. I have no problem with that. But no way he deserves Nylander money with the lack of a 200' game, not at this point. I'm sure you think I hate the kid. I don't. Im just concerned about his showing up to camp out of shape, his propensity to coast, and his on again off again commitment to D. I see his upside. I see his ability to be a great NHL sniper. If he's not lazy then he is in horrible shape, he gets gassed so quickly.

Whatever the issues I'm sure it is or will be addressed. My hope for him is he looks in the mirror and committees to a terrific off season and he shows up to camp ready to rumble. He's gotten this far in his career due to his above average shot. And that can carry him a long way. If he had elite NHL speed it would help, but he doesn't. That means he needs to develop a Roussel type work ethic. He needs todo whatever intakes to improve his conditioning. I hope he gets it.

Boeser wasn't able to train properly last off-season due to circumstances beyond his control.

Regardless, he is on a 33-goal pace (38-goal pace last season)... and is a career .84 points per game.

If we're comparing him to William "Perimeter" Nylander and his 20-goal .68 points per game

... well Brock would be entitled to much more than Willy's $7.5M-per.

Nylander is overpaid... but we'd be very fortunate to get the mucho better Mr Boeser on a similar contract.

conditioning does not have anything to do with attitude. Regardless you have to make the effort and maybe he isnt.

Oh I get the off season surgery and inability to properly train. Ive given him a pass for that. And I've gone on record saying I love his ability to score, yes we need that. But he is a lazy player. He could be so much more. I've also said when a team is well rounded you can carry a lazy, but productive player. When he is forechecking and digging for the puck I love to watch him.

He's young and now is the time to get him to train the right way and make corrections in his game.

Other than that, I just love busting Micky's balls! He is so reactive, its fun.
