Only against the Canucks a player like Richardson gets a hattrick

Boeser needs to be benched for that

Me too. Cheap labour, good teammate can play up and down the lineup. Never understood running him out of town on a rail. He’s effective and still had wheels and grit. But hey we gots Birdbones!

Dude is gonna be irate. He HATES Richardson

Watching Demko you can see where he needs work. His movements are as smooth as they need to be, a little jerky jerky out there. All very teachable. Economy of movement, better positionally. Like what I see but he needs work.

I’m sure that’s part of it. It’s also teams now have a book on him. He’ll learn and fight through it. As far as the team goes it highlights how deficit we are in the top six. He can be shut down and we don’t have a response.

Put Richardson out. He’s hot. Let him get his first 4 goal game.

Horvat as well. He never seemed to recover his wheels after we ragged his ice time into the ground.

Curiously Brock seems to be the one who still has some leg left. Was he saving his energy?

Didn't his contract expire while he was injured?

He has reason.

Richardson isn’t foundational. It’s not all points and toughness and speed and defensive play. It’s about “foundation”. Get with the program, Blob.

He got hurt in the last year of his contract and missed the last 20 or 30 games. He signed for a fraction of what we paid Sutter ( not to mention the assets blown) butvwas every bit as effective. Anyways water under the bridge. Hopefully Dude doesn’t go buck wild tonight

I don't think Van wanted to part with Richardson. But he had injury issues here.

But the main thing was probably because we were close to the cap (correct me if I'm wrong) and couldn't give him the raise or term. He got 3 years from Arizona and essentially doubled his salary.

Given the above situation, I think most Canuck fans were ok with walking away from him. Now, you guys are using hindsight but at the time, there wasn't a fart to be heard when he left.
