Last night was a great example of why Biega is a 7th man at best. I lost track of how many times he left his position to play a hit and the puck still got where it needed to for Calgary. The second goal is a great example. Instead of trying to play the puck, he blows by it to force a hit, it had he made the play on the puck it would never have found its way down to the net. He did this often.
Pouliot is a turnover machine, but at least he’s not abandoning his post all night to try and get some licks in, I’d say we got a good look at why he’s still dressing and Biega is the healthy scratch.

I love how Biega skates. He’s so distinct. I love his energy and his feistiness. But he’s only good used sparingly. Poopalot needs to make way. I dunno, I think they may go the way of Hutton with him. Read him the riot act at the end of the year and challenge him to do the work over the summer, whatever that is, to be better.
Right now I’d want to see how Brisbois looks in the NHL.

It's funny you say that about his skating, a friend of mine knew him back when he was in Harvard and then Utica and Rochester, when he first made the Canucks his comment was that it was nice to see that Biega had made something happen despite his unorthodox skating style.
I think it is even more impressive as this is done in today's game vs. the free-styling games of the past. Goal scoring is up but still not compared to 80s/90s. This year they projects 20+ players reaching 100 points compared to a few just 5 years ago.

Well there's only 8 people on that list, and 4 of them are modern era.....if it was easier back then, why aren't there more names from then?
And then why is it so impressive in a year where they project 20+ players are reaching 100 points?
It's like you just argued with yourself there Reef.
