Watching this makes me even more impressed with EP's will and skill. What he does in the defensive zone to transition into offense for the very lazy Brock and useless Goldobin. Amazing talent.
Pffftttt wouldn’t trade Brock for Seth Jones
Who said anything about a trade?
Nobody. Just saying I wouldn’t trade him for that bum Jones

Just so hard to care about this league and team anymore. I have been a fan since the kid 80s. We finally get a true superstar back and just seems like it is open season on him. Probably won't watch any games until he is back.

It’s amazing how uninterested we become without Pettersson in the lineup. Francesco is probably crying right now

I've never liked the league, especially the department of safety. They are a joke, nothing more.

Yeah, without the Alien, our team looks rather ordinary.

Nice to see Chapoo still in the league. :P

That, and --longer term -- how the department of player safety handles it.

And this.

But Benning knew what league he would be playing in when he drafted Pettersson, and decided he was ready to play this season, and decided what players to put around him.

Just saw the play and until the Canucks stop playing like a bunch of pussies this team will never go far. Hutton should be roasted for backing away.

Didn’t we sign a couple guys who were supposedly tough.

Well some good news sorta by Murphy:
Saw Pettersson walk through the room. No crutches and not a noticeable limp.

canucks waiting on coach to talk.
And Petey will travel with the team to Toronto tonight.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I’ll be on the Oculus Rift until Pettersson returns

Glad to learn that The Alien is also preternaturally flexible. But how many times do you want to count on it ?

If it’s just a strain he could miss the next two games and have nearly a two week break to heal.

but yeah they definitely need a mad dog on the bench to go chop down the other team stars. Apparently, the NHL hasn’t changed that much.

Oh well no response required. Who wants playoffs when you can have 5 months off every summer and not play too too hard where you might strain a testicle
His reaction is Matheson 2.0 reactions repeated. Fuck off Sutter
Agreed.

Then John Shannon uses that as "See, even his teammate says it was incidental contact."

The same John Shannon who was fine with the Matheson body slam.

He's one of those guys who thinks guys like Eli are too small for the NHL

... and uses every injury to underscore his "Yup, too small, just a normal play" philosophy.

That fucker was talking directly to Canuck fans.

Shannon and Sutter can go fuck themselves...

This is one of the reasons I want to trade Smiley...

On a cheerier note, anyone else think the Granlund butt-end to Kotkaniemi's head may have been intentional?
